This is something I just posted on my other blog but I wanted to share it here so no matter if you can log on or not yet you can read this.
I don't know for sure but I felt like I needed to write something tonight. Maybe it is something I need to hear myself or maybe it is something other people may need to hear, not sure but I feel like I should. After hearing some news from a family member it made me re-think of a time in my life that was similar and difficult to understand at the time. There are never the perfect words(it seems) to tell someone who experiences such a loss or is going through a difficult time. Some days what you hear is just what you needed and some days those same words just don't cut it. I know that it may seem difficult to even understand how you are to be strong enough to move on or move past a trial in your life. But I know there is someone who can immediately take your burden off your shoulder, even if it is only for the moment that you pray. Every time I have gone to the Lord in all sincerity, He has given me peace. It may not end the pain, or the hardship right then but He always gives me the strength to make it. It is the most wonderful feeling. The instant love and warmth of the Spirit. I don't know how life could be manageable nowadays without those moments and tender mercies of the Savior. I know that every day I am blessed with His love just as He blesses every one. His love can reach every corner of the earth and touch every persons life. There is never a problem too small or too big that He cannot share with us. Remember that He suffered not only for our sins but for our suffering too. With the way the world is and the tough times now and ahead, there is never a better time than now to build a better relationship with the Savior. I am nowhere near perfect but I am thankful for the Gospel and the truth of it and the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. What a beautiful gift we have been given. I hope that whenever you are down, or me for that matter, that we can turn to the Lord and allow him to gives us the peace we need to make it another day. In the end, this journey will have been worth it!
